Where can I buy more pieces for A&A?

Imperious Leader is right.  The rules of A&A have evolved over the years, but each game was designed to work with the rules that existed at the time.  You can always experiment with using the new rules on older games, but the result may not be balanced properly.

I love A&A Pacific. I bought it practially the day it hit the shelfs nearly a decade ago. I’ve played it so much that its more than worn out on me and i want to get a new copy.  I realize that the game is out of print now, but unopened copys are still around at some stores. Does anyone know the difference between the 1st print edition and later print editions. For example the 1st print had a box that said it contained 445 pieces, but came with 335. The new box has a different logo in the corner and says it contains 330 pieces. This means some changes have been made between prints. perhapse they fixed the rulebook and setup card typo?

If any of you guys know of any differences i would greatly appreciate it. As i need to decide fairly soon weather or not to buy a new unopended copy of a later print or a used 1st edition print.

P.S. I realize that the new AAP40 will be out soon, but as a diehard A&A fan i have a complusive need to keep a crisp copy of each A&A title in good condition. Some of you will understand, others wont.

I know how to turn a computer on, off, check email after that it starts getting gray. Does any one know of an on line A&A game that can play multi player where all five sides are represented, and play at the same time. Not posting results back and forth like triple A. Is there such an animal out there???

Well . . . I guess you know it now.

I’m not sure how to fix the lags; however, if you save frequently (like every turn) – then, once it starts to lag … exit the entire game – then, reopen it and load it back up. This will temp. fix it (until it starts to lag again). Sorry, that’s all the advise that I can give … but, does anyone else know a better remedy to this lagging effect???

Thats to bad I live in near Pensicola, Florida. It gets to hot here to play in the summer. :( So the winter is my only time to play it suks.

i dont know what your talkin about. i played as allies vs my friend who is very experienced and i won (wasnt easy tho)

u need to employ tactics man.

for example i made a raiding force, and built up like 6 bombers, and a strong navy, beat the japs out of phillipines and then built a factory there (dont worry if they did take it its not very useful to build there) and i kept strat bombing them (6 moves to japan and back to phillipines) and sending troops to sumatra, borneo, and the rest, until u have a decent invasion force, then its cake

jap player only got to 40 for one round in my game. be a coward in china, hold all your troops up in schechwan since rest of china is worthless and u cant attack to get korea or manchuria. build a good force of arty and infantry in india, hold back britains navy until its strong enough to severely damage the jap navy. use combat air patrols to protect your boats. watch for the strategically significant naval bases and airfields.

keep in mind tho no strategy is 100% in axis and allies. its like chess… on steroids… with luck involved!

I don’t have the CD-ROM, but from a technical standpoint, if it’s not working at all, just un-install it… then re-install it.
