Great points - this is not the version of history I was taught in school, but thankfully with access to the internet and the benefit of hindsight we are able to learn some of this untold history now.

   Cool!  Go Army!     Those were the days.    "Let’s all sing along"  A person doesn’t see that kind of stuff anymore. The Office of Emergency Management of yesteryear sure operated a bit different differently than the Homeland Security of today in regards to information to the public. Get’s me kinda in the mood to beat the Russians into the Ukraine.

Yes, I love the almost boyish enthusiasm in this video.  It’s made in a similar spirit to those G.I. Joe action figure commercials from the early 1960s, which actually used new lyrics set to the same tune (“G.I. Joe, G.I. Joe, fighting man from head to toe…”).

Some of the armoured / motorized maneuvers in the Caissons video remind me of the tank and bouncing-jeep sequence (set to the tune of “You’re in the Army Now”) found near the end of the classic WWII cartoon “War Dogs” :

yeah, if germany never attacked russia, england woulda fell, hitler just didnt have the patience to wait england out and had 2 use all his pretty toys and the only target left for his tanks was russia. and germany still had a small chance to win even after they attacked russia, but lets face it, hitler wasnt a general and he made mistakes that say, rommel or other generals wouldnt have made.

Its not that easy, Germany did not have the Oil, Raw Materials, and Food Stuffs to sustain itself for a long war.  Russia had sufficent quantities of all 3.  Germany invaded Russia when it did cause of economic neccesity.  Also, cause of the massive industrial/military advancements in the Soviet Union after the disaster in Finand, if Germany waited another year or 2, the Russian military would of been strong enough to handle Germany’s.

Japan entered the War with the West with 51 Army Divisions; however 27 where already in use in China. Thirteen of the remaining divisions were facing the Red Army. Japan was willing to head to war with the Allies with ten to eleven availiable divisions!

Japan would quickly start recruiting from it’s 73 million population, but Japan kept the same habit of attacking the Allies with smaller forces.
