  • Nuts, I was hoping that because my capital was liberated before my turn started, that I could build immediately.
I rolled great everywhere, 11 kills and only one loss. Should have cut short my attack on Croatia to maintain the garrison after killing 3 and suffering no hits.

@FMErwinRommel Thank you for your donation to the British Empire!

  • @redrum you’re welcome. Next time let Serbia take it.

  • We three are happy to concede . Thanks for the game.

  • @witt I really enjoyed that game. Well played the CPs for doing so well despite never catching up on income. And excellently played my Entente partners: everyone did their bit!

  • @private-panic Special thanks to Kevin for making sure the game did not drag on for another 10 turns. The bold Turkish attack, just quickened the inevitable outcome. :-)

I am not sure what I think of that Mod, the constant stalemates on each front are very frustrating, especially when 8 people play and the game goes on for weeks, and nothing changes on the board.

    GG all!

@Elrood That’s WWI for ya. The unit set is pretty defensive so you end up in some form of trench like warfare in most places. Most players concede much earlier as if the CPs don’t reach close to income parity and all the fronts stalemate then they will just eventually lose. The turn the Turks gambled on some low odds attacks and lost was probably when the game was over as they then didn’t have enough units left to defend Turkey and it was just time until the CPs collapsed.

    Glad to play another!

  • I am up for another game too

  • i would like to play again if its ok with you guys.

  • I will play again , just to get revenge on my enemies .

  • I learned several strategic lessons from these 3 team games. 1) When PP said R should hold Belarus and trade Odessa back and forth, I was skeptical. But he proved it works. 2) Seems best strategy for Turkey is to open with sinking R fleet. Saves T fleet without spending on navy, allowing buy transports to amphib with bombard on R; more effective pressure on R than naval arms race with UK. Entente control of E. Med in early game little effect on T, which can cheaply build garrisons and trenches on coast. 3) If G kills Paris first doesn’t look to success early, G should switch to take Scand quickly rather than let R/UK take it unopposed for 14 income per turn.

  • @fmerwinrommel I’d say all 3 of those depend on the CP strategy.

    1. Depends how much CP attack power is pointed towards Russia. If they don’t have much then you can hold both but otherwise just traded Odessa back and forth.

    2. Depends what the Entente do in the Med. Turkey can almost always kill the Russian fleet whenever they want unless their whole fleet is wiped out in the Med. Not putting any pressure on the Entente fleets in the Med makes it much easier for them in the opening rounds.

    3. If Germany is doing a balanced approach then yes taking Scand is pretty important. But if they are going hard either east or west then its often better to ignore it at least for a while.
