I hate The Captain’s new victory conditions now! It basically invites a KGF, with the Axis victory depending on capitals, which, like in Axis And Allies 1941, are all in Europe. One of the best things I liked in the original 1940 version was that victory cities are a way to win, making Japan something of a threat, making Allied strategy more interesting and complicated-now, all Japan can do is help achieve an economic victory, which in any case is not enough for Japan to help win the game by itself. It should have been a collected total of victory cities on both sides if you don’t want the idea of the Nazis being dead but Japan winning, and increase the amounts as well (I am not a fan of that, but I know some people are). I like the economic victory conditions in addition to victory cities.
Now “hate” is a strong word, but I’m just a bit unhappy how hard for the Axis to win in Barnee’s latest game, where if the Nazis are in trouble, Japan can’t really save the game.
