I think the 97 fleet is going to survive. Or take a lot of Luftwaffe down with it. So I’d like to steam the Anzac ships towards suez
And garrison Australia
@crockett36 said in ABH and crockett36, (A+69) tutor game:
Sorry guys. I didn’t want to weaken England and I should have taken at least one infantry.
My suggestion was 2 inf and a sb to Gibraltar, but didn’t look closely at the situation in London.
@crockett36 Definitely run the numbers for Sealion each UK turn to evaluate options. Currently Germany only had one transport and five planes that could reach, and some of the planes would have been required in SZ110 to clear a path for the amphibious landing. Very few defenders are currently required in London to protect on UK2, and it would have been unlikely that I would have been lured into a big Sea Lion build for a UK3 attack after that disasterous first round for the Axis.
Bringing 2 inf and another plane to Gibraltar would have been very helpful. You also could have built an airbase in Gibraltar to have supported the adjacent fleets. That spot is so critical to dominating the Atlantic and the Med. It should be the main focus are for the Allies in the early game, assuming London and Egypt are safe.
@arthur-bomber-harris NOTE TO SELF: DEBATE THE NONCOMS. BOLSTER GIBRALTAR OR BLOCK 92 T1
Suggestions for Anzac and France. Obviously bring French into 97

as promised. That is official. Germany’s up.
The European side of operations is looking relatively good for the Allies, with the main exception of Gibraltar that should have been held with all of the resources you had available. I will have to calculate if I am going to hold it this round with German reinforcements, slowing down the Atlantic fleets.
The Asian side of the map is not looking that good for the Allies. The American fleet movement to Siberia puts them so far away from being useful for a long time. It is two turns back to Pearl Harbor, three to Caroline islands, and four turns to the Money Islands. They should have moved to SZ54 so they could harass the IJN and possibly take the Carolines on USA2.
I think Yunnan will hold for a long time, but need to calculate what to do with Japan.
and the French units should have stayed in place in died. It would have been a useful distraction so the Germans would not have so much flexibility to use the air force this turn.

Capturing Greece was a high priority so it can’t be used as an immediate foothold for the Allies. With the disastrously bad G1, I opted for a G3 DOW.
Well, we pretty much committed to defending Yunnan. So R2 send all air to Yunnan.
He can send his entire airforce and get a 80-20 battle, but will only have 5 planes left. That is a good trade for us.
We can’t stop the advance to Ukraine with the forces we have…can’t worry about that now
Block Novgorod advance by placing 1 inf in Baltic States and reinforcing Belarus or even Novgorod?
Italy can can-open tank + sb, and then G. rushes grab Novgorod (if left empty) and puts 2 inf + 6 mech + 9 tanks to cover the Italian tank for future can-opening.
Maybe buy 3 art, place in Novgorod with 7 inf. Will hold. Saves 5 IPC for 1 turn,
His reinforcements in Baltic States (2 inf + 6 mech + 9 tanks + 1 Italian tank + 2 tac) could be at risk 85-15% battle.
Sounds good, but he can hold Karelia, run to the south and pick up real money, and force the turtle. As soon as the Northern force flees, then he’ll get the Novgorod money.
If we go with defend the north. The units to the south should forget about anything else and run to Bryansk.
The alternative is just by inf and pull back. Not a bad proposition, considering the ground assault that G is building.

@crockett36 Gentlemen,
This is my proposal for R2
@crockett36 you all have 12 hours. Seems pretty vanilla.
The movement back to sakha is supposed to draw Japan’s gaze north, pinning troops in Manchuria. Obviously they are intended to join up with the marines in SFE.
@surfer didn’t see your post. appreciate the analysis. I’m inclined to turtle, but am open to aggression. The weakness caused by the combination of the high bid and the bad luck in 111 opens up potentialities that need to be explored.
