@farmboy it might still default to something close to what we end up. Both players have to be thinking both that they don’t want to give anything to their opponent and they want to a good position if htey end up with allies. I think that might lead to well placed but low cost units (which along with a fig or two makes the most sense in a standard bid game.

@adam514 Yeah, I’ve been (unsuccessfully) franticly trying to stay in the game the last few turns - well since about turn 2 to be honest! The last set of purchases were particularly desperate, and unfortunately my attempt to capture Malaya is hamstrung by me purchasing a harbour with UK Europe which I (obviously) couldn’t place as intended (W.India) as it’s UK Pacific… :dizzy_face:
