Ha, I forgot about that lone G U-boat that ran away from all the DD’s. Would have moved it to Hudson Bay, but turned out well for me. USA had the tech to reach it. I’ve been very lucky in this game with early tech being exactly what I wanted. G needed sub tech early, before switching to land tech.
Austria got gas for taking fortified sites. Commies got art to increased offense paired with conscripts, like in taking Khab this past turn. -

I shouldn’t have built gas in Tri last turn. Tried to rush the action against Italy. I’ve done that before and caused my defense to be shorthanded without the flow of ground troops from Tri. Not enough gas to capture with small troop level. But risked taking Milan if I used all my troops from Venice. Should have built the gas in Hung/Vienna. Had to waste the Trieste gas without capturing anything, just to weaken Italian potential attack. Had to build trenches and some HG instead of all art in Venice. But I did get barrage, which gives me double barrel offense with gas.
