Good thing for me that I moved a cav towards Italy last turn. The Italians went 5 for 5 in Milan. I’m trying a new tactic, built all cav in Tri to reach battlefront in 1 turn, instead of gas or inf.

Austria sank your blocker, but then I realized that Turkey’s chance of taking Greece again without bombardment is a 50/50 gamble with 19 more bars of gold on the line. And I don’t want Serbia building next turn, so the UK fleet will live to fight another day. Of course, a good Serb dice roll would stop the invasion this round. Turkey can out build UK in the Med thanks to the prior cash haul from Greece.

Deciding whether to take Gre or Suez was tough. Taking out the UK fleet was almost guaranteed and taking Cairo unopposed was very tempting. UK could retake it, but my new builds could take it back. Taking Gre wasn’t guaranteed. But I would gain far more income and deny Serb building anything. So Belgrade will fall. UK can only build 2 items in Cairo, and my fleet builds will still overwhelm UK fleet if it stays. UK could build troops and trenches and it and its allies could retreat to Cairo, but that would help Turk in Mid East. UK will spend a lot on defending Cairo, leaving less to go against Germ. Fra & UK could try to retake Gre, but couldn’t hold it and would lose te their tt’s. Turkey took more thought than usual with the Arabian penn invaded in 3 places. I attacked at good, but not great odds. Being just round 2, didn’t have the troops in place yet. Chose to conquer Lurs rather than make Georgia impregnable. Lurs shortens the trip from Bagh > Georgia. Time will tell if not taking Cairo immediately was smart or not.

FYI, I playtested having my amphib tt not being in the same sea zone as my bombarding ships and the game didn’t offer to bombard. It didn’t see bombarding ships in the same sz as the tt and didn’t look at other possible sea zones. So I kept them together when I took my turn.

Commies rolled 0-9 in round 2 and then Rus rolled 1-1. I put every available unit into Brat in order to prevent a counterattack from all possible directions. Epic small battle in Congo went 13 rounds. G cav had so many chances to stop you but failed. We’ve had a number of battles where neither side could hit, but this was the longest. That UK amphib fleet in Persia can continue to shuttle troops into the Arabian Penn every turn. I think the game designers deliberately made it unlikely for Turks to build a factory on the Indian Ocean coastline.
