  • Once the rest of us used the corrupted file, it stayed corrupted for us also. Editing all changes from a good G1 to an updated A1 is impractical. Allies and Axis will start building DD’s, making first sub strike rare. Most sea battles will be small, so we can manually adjust. Most land battles won’t use gas. My suggestion is: when attacking player uses gas, post to forum after tech roll/combat moves. If possible, click re-post after purchases. Do combat for gas battle first, and only first round. Save game manually (upper left corner). Close the game. Reload saved game for online, edit remove all gas and # of defenders based on gas hits. End edit and continue combat normally for that battle and all others. May have to manually calculate adjustment for subs and bombardment, but not gas.

  • @private-panic Yes, likely Rommel is right, but I prefer have Adam test it first.

    And if it is still not working properly i would vote for a new game. I do not care for the hassle of constant editing.

  • I can see why Elrood prefers a restart. But Germany and Italy had great turns and Serbs had a great defensive win. The rest of us may not want to give up those gains. Restarting after G1’s great start would harm the allies.

    Finally! had some Network issues all of a sudden during posting! :anguished:


  • What a rollercoaster ride. Germany rolls great to start the game. Austria doesn’t retreat after early losses and is wiped out as Serbia makes a heroic defense. In great shape, but doesn’t build trenches. Then Turks roll +4.67 and take Greece for 20 cash and Serbs can’t build next turn and lost their advantage. Turks also aggressively take Basra, Kuwait and Georgia. Can the Bedouin camel cavalry come to the rescue?


  • Started doing B, but cannot remember how subs work in this variant!

    1. Do they block? They seem to be doin so.
    2. Do they only get the option to submerge after a round of dice thrown at them?
    3. Can planes hit a sub with no destroyer present?

    3. no, planes cannot hit them without a DD present
