Why can't my tanks move into Ukraine?

I find this new thing which is steadily increasing…which is i open the list of potential games in multiplayer ( not ranked) and lets say the list shows 6 games…I can only enter 2 of them, the other 4 are “blocked in a sense” you click and nothing happens…is their some new thing we need to do like update the game? And i cant believe for a second that only 6 games in total around the earth are being played…what gives?

If you coordinate your defence of Russia really well with allied air support, USSR can afford a couple tanks and fighters built in Caucasus to retake india for UK. This means UK doesn’t miss a turn to build by the time it rolls around to the UK turn again. Good luck!

Gonna file the two glitches I found in two separate threads.

First, the QoL changes and addition of ranked mode have breathed new life into this game for me. Thanks a ton for implementing both.

Anyway, this glitch is something I call “Phantom Fighter Move”. Allow me to explain:

Scenario: I have two separate stacks of German Fighters. One in Karelia, the other in Germany. During Combat Move Phase I move both of them to attack Caucasus (2 moves away from Karelia, 3 moves away from Germany).

Battle Occurs, all of my air units survive.

NCM Phase: I should only be able to move my Fighters that started in Germany one more space, and my Fighters that started in Karelia two more spaces. If I individually make my moves, this will work as intended. After I’ve individually moved each of my Fighters with two moves left, I will only be able to move the remaining Fighters one space.

However, if I use the new “SHIFT+CLICK” feature to move the entire Fighter Stack at once, the glitch comes into play.

For whatever reason, SHIFT+CLICK"-ing the Fighter Stack in Ukraine lets me move all of them 2 spaces, even though some of them should not be able to move that far. This trick allows for illegal Fighter Movement that is earth-shatteringly overpowered in arenas like the Pacific, where fleet positioning is entirely based on the limited air range of opposing FTRs/Bombers.

NOTE: I do not know if this occurs for Bombers as well as Fighters. I have not tried it because building additional Bombers is usually poor play and I am only playing Ranked Games at the moment.

If this bug is not reproducible on your end, it may have just been a one-time thing for me. Sorry for the false alarm if that’s the case.

Not a huge bug, but a bug nonetheless.

First, I really like the new system. I just do, it’s not perfect yet but it’s good.

When you move all of a unit out of a territory, especially via transport, I find it confusing and I have to think twice about it.

I saw this below and I thought, oops I forgot to load the units. But I did. I’m wondering if a unit count goes down to zero if that icon should be grayed out to indicate they all have moved.

One thing I would like to see is a way to see the match up during Combat Move before I complete the phase.

Clicking on the territory show not only what is already there but also what units you are moving in. In the Combat Move summary, show the match ups. The current screen (below) is useful but if I had the defenders in there too, I can review it an “Make Changes” when I realize I don’t have enough units for a battle.

@Eqqman When I was playing this heavily (played a lot in Season 1 and got to Platinum, got too busy with IRL stuff + got fed-up with bad dice luck Season 2 and haven’t played much past my qualifier games) Players didn’t start becoming competent until like high Gold Tier in Ranked. Especially the Axis Players, as the balance in 42SE (even the Gencon Rules, which is what Ranked uses exclusively) is in-favor of the Axis to the point where a lot of Axis Players can do totally wonky stuff and still win through the sheer advantage (at least on-paper) that the Axis have in the starting setup (win rates in Platinum Tier are probably more even, but the Allies are much harder to play at a high level in 42SE than the Axis are, IMO).
