Its the path that you’ve taken to get to GIB. You always need to choose your own path, not follow the triplea movement. So in this case you should have stopped with your fleet in sz90, from there moved into sz93. Than you could have chosen to retreat to sz90 after a failed battle outcome.
But I dont think you would be able to unload it than anyway, perhaps I am wrong. Ill test try it in local, just to see what is possible. If its possible to still unload, Ill let you edit that.
I have tested it, I dont think you are allowed to unload after a failed amphibious assault anymore.
