@gen-manstein IMO if we are talking about improving techs, fighters scrambling should be added to Heavy Carriers, as they are weak enough.

@timothy-gengarella Exciting! Yeah, a lot of the basic concepts can hopefully come quickly. They aren’t so unlike A&A where you can’t adjust.

The biggest thing will just be remembering some of the intricacies from turn to turn. Remembering recruitment rolls, remembering tech rolls, remembering the terrain feature penalties/bonuses, etc.

Also, try and get out of the A&A mindset of taking the capital wins the game. It’s truly more focused on the victory conditions needed. I know our first few games it was hard to not just focus on taking on capitals as the primary goal, when it doesn’t necessarily need to be that way here!

Why not just do it so that 1-6 = pay bank for loses, 7 = pay 1 extra, 8 = pay 2 extra, 9-10 joins your side, 11-12 = joins your side plus reserves called up.

What are the numbers in the brackets on some of the countries mean?

No limit. You may spend all your IPP on it having 1 minor factory with a supply path to the regular infantries. Such are the current rules (may 2021)
Optional house rule: count motorized upgrades as using up production slots for factories.

No, because it is not mentioned specifically or generally.
Optional house rule: Let the USSR player decide on permission.

This isn’t air tight, but it is what I am play testing.

Troop Saves
• Infantry Units may be Saved by friendly Medics, Hospitals & Hospital Ships that are in range.
• Saving- After combat, roll 1d12 per infantry casualty. On 2s, you may return an infantry (same type as casualty) to stage 2 on the production chart. This unit can be place at a hospital or hospital ship the next turn.

Medics
• Cost 1 IPP, The Medic token may be placed under an existing standard infantry unit in supply
• Medics save friendly infantry units in their zone.

Hospital Ships
• Cost 1 IPP, The Hospital Ship token may be placed under a naval transport in supply
• May save friendly infantry units in amphibious assaults, and adjacent land zones
• Healed troops may return to the game at Hospital Ships.

Hospitals
• Cost 3 IPP to build
• All Cities (red dots and circular land zones) have hospitals inherently
• Healed troops may be returned to the game at Hospitals.
• Hospitals save troops in their zone and surrounding zones.

Obviously, if a Hospital location is captured, or Hospital Ship/Medic is taken as a casualty during combat, saves cannot be attempted.
