@hbg-gw-enthusiast Yeah. 1936 is a long game to play, it takes a lot of time to roll for each ship and each colony by the rules. Vichy being light blue just helps with pacing.

Not only is it not prohibited, it is made possible by the rules.

The Free France NRS (v3.2) states: “Free France is a Minor Power formed on the surrender of France. It is at war with all nations France was at war with.”

In addition, since the Axis can declare war on any nation, even Italy or Japan may attack Free France if they were not already at war with France.

I don’t believe that having a factory would restrict the possibility of building limited types units according to the « Builds » section of the National Reference Sheet. Otherwise it would be a good argument for not building one.

In some ways GW-14 is the next evolution of V-3 as far as development. Almost all of the game mechanics are transferred from one game to another. As we are play testing and developing it we are constantly referring to the rulebook for 36 for how to resolve situations/rules in the game and then copy and pasting them into the 14 rulebook. It is a different game for a different time period though so much of it is new. I wouldn’t be surprised if more of the concepts in it are transferred to the next edition of 36 and/or some of the expansions. I’ve been looking at these rules for quite a while now and I didn’t realize that it wasn’t in any of the other rulesets until this.

Huh, I have no idea how that was missed before! I think I must have just seen capture and always stopped there. I’ll see if I can delete this post!

Yeah I can’t wait. I pitched the War of 41! and they changed some things about it but it got in none the less.
