Can Italy use nationalist Spain's naval facilities?

If you read the top of page 11 you will see there is a new rule for V3 where you cannot combat move through a canal as you proposed. The example they give is exactly what you were talking about. You can still choose to do it the old way but either way that is one of the things you should have all of the players to agree to before the game begins. We always play it the new way.

Just watched Eastory’s video about the Sino Japanese War, got me thinking more about the oil expansion :P I want Japan to feel like it NEEDS to attack the Indonesian islands for oil! Because of the weird movement rules / not needing oil to move infantry and cavalry when out of oil, the oil system just kind of… doesn’t work properly.

Plus, Germany way too much oil :/

@chris_henry I think I will just amend the set-up to make it a minor factory and leave it at that for now…

If the rules had a different mechanic for the annexation process other than a combat move then I might think that the medium factory could stay a medium factory. The rules state any factory that was a major or medium in a territory that is conquered becomes a minor factory.

I guess there is nothing to stop the Germans from building another minor factory there if they want but why would they?

I think it was just a mistake when the neutral set-up was getting developed.

@chris_henry Andalusia is the only Spanish home territory that isn’t mountain, which could be with not much difficulty taken, of course depending on the player. I is also home to one Major Port.

If you have any more questions on the Admiral version of SCW, just ask. I designed it and would eventually like to adjust it to version 3.1 if there are more things not clear.

It would take two turns. See rule 8.4 (1936v.3) « Transporting allied units ».

Note that if you play with the Canada at War expansion, and you replace the Americans with Canadians in your example, it can all be done in the same tun, as all the Commonwealth units move together (Canada National reference sheet v.3.1).
