@simon33 Can’t play today. And yes we can finish … I actually thought this game was finished many months ago, but you didn’t want to surrender.
I think you could have been right here.
Losing Egypt was a big blow and some other battles I should have won went against me. I will soon enough lose Leningrad then probably the middle east. Wasn’t too worried about South Africa even though it was a setback as the combination of Iraq and Egypt would probably ultimately overpower it, unless it went full turtle where I could just ignore it for a while. So it may not have been completely over months ago but I think it is now.
Thanks for the game.
Result posted.
That would get you into the playoffs for PtV if one person doesn’t participate in an 8 player circus.
@simon33 Thank you for game and Happy New Year. How do i get into the playoffs?
I’m sure Gamerman01 will post something soon. He normally asks those interested to let him know and then sets up the matches.
oh and happy new year to you
can you help us with a rule. My opponent attacks a lone DD with 2 subs and 4 ftrs. I scramble 3 ftrs to help defend the DD. Can my opponent assign ftr hits to his subs because of my DD. The rules say the DD has to be friendly to the attacking ftrs
Look at the words after “unless”.
@simon33 yes, but my DD is not friendly to his ftrs

The DD is friendly to the planes which hit, allowing subs to be taken as casualties.
Perfectly clear.
@simon33 so funny… Sovietcat and I think its perfectly clear the way we see it and you and Nikola think its perfectly clear the exact opposite way
@max334
The lone friendly DD allows the 3 friendly fighters to detect the enemy subs. Therefore, friendly fighter hits can be assigned to the enemy subs.
@ArtofWar1947 But the dd is ally, it should not be friendly to axis?
I get it for defence, but not for attack
It does does not matter whether 2 subs and 4 fighters attack a DD and 3 fighter or vice versa. The DD enables fighters to detect subs and hit them.

Well look at it this way, if you think you should be able to choose to hit the fighters with your planes, where does it stop? Why not be able to chose to hit the fighters with you DD? Or are you perhaps saying that the subs should be taken last as casualties which would be a similarly large change to the game dynamic.
