I wanted to ask you your opinion about this. I dont like games like ours to be decided do to simple mistakes. I think in the beginning you allowed me to redo my turn to save the German fleet and just recently you gave me back my 2 German bombers that I had forgotten to evacuate. We’ve been playing for a long time now and wouldnt you hate to have all that thought and energy just wasted do to a simple mistake? Just wanted to get your take on this. Thanks
@max334 Because this is non-league, I tend to agree with you, only because this is a learning game. Kind of like preseason games in the major sports, or even practice scrimmages.
If it were a league game, then I would disagree. In a league game, you must be more careful, make sure you have things the way you want, and not ask for re-dos. Most players want to gain their best ratings, and therefore the league games are for “keeps”. The better players don’t make the same mistakes as lesser players, and there is no way to know an opposing player’s intent on fairness and reciprocity, so the rules of the games should be known and followed, with no cheating.
@owentoo I guess I like the more relaxed game play. The fun of playing is more important to me than ranking. Even in a league game I forgive my opponents mistakes. Maybe in tournament play the rules should be very strict and mistakes unforgiven.
You also said no cheating. What do you consider cheating and/or what kind of cheating have you seen?
@max334 I have not seen any cheating. The MARTI die roll server eliminates possible cheating by sending results immediately to both players. That is comforting, and eliminates suspicion. I probably shouldn’t have used the term “cheating”.
