@max334 I am going to have think about this one for a bit. Your Japanese play is excellent, and even though the numbers say I have a PU advantage at this stage, it sure doesn’t seem like it
@owentoo oh yah man, take your time… thoughtful moves make for a better game.
I looked at the statistics for the game (PU’s, TUV’s and the others) and I don’t think its looking good for the Allies. Yes, they still have a lead, but its been consistently dropping and will most likely continue to drop. Africa, the Middle East and the Americas are all under threat and there is no significant defense. Moscow is probably not going to fall, but Russia cant hold back the tide. How do you see it?
@max334 Most games, Russia must fall for the Axis to win. In this game, the Japanese could win a Pacific victory. If that happens, it will be because I overdid the SeaLion response. Also, I lost a small force near Australia during J2 that I should have had out of harm’s way. That got me behind, and you have played an excellent Japanese game.
We should know more after a couple more rounds.
A couple of years ago playing BM3, I lost a game to an aggressive Japanese J2 opening, when I had no good response. When playing the Axis, I have usually attacked during G3 and J3 in the past with BM3, but with PTV I think the better opening attacks are with a G2, and J2.
