Maybe you didnt see, but I have 3 ftrs to repel the bomber attack in the Pacific
@max334 Read the rules closer. "A carrier may scramble one plane to battles in adjacent sea zones/territories where there are defending surface warships or land units. A transport is not a surface warship, therefore you can’t scramble in support of it. If you had a DD there, then you could. Subs are not surface warships either, obviously.
Scrambling rules take a little to get used to. Here is the thread of PTV rules discussion:

I have a doubt … can only one transport (without surface ships) be defended by a CV in an adjacent zone? Triple A asks for the scramble but in the rules it seems to me that it refers to a present warship …

@Avner It cannot, transports aren’t warships.
Ok. I stand corrected on that one, but it appears to me that you are putting the Pacific Fleet in serious danger again.
So, the Carrier scramble rules are a little different than the original Airbase scramble rules, which DO allow you to scramble into an undefended sea zone being subject to amphibious assault. In all cases, TripleA asks if you want to scramble, but there are cases, like the one in question in our game, that the rules disallow it.
