I held on to this game when I should have quit a long time ago because i had London , Italy was doing well of course and for those last few turns the US attention was not in the pacific and Japan started taking territory and putting in work , but it wasn’t gonna be enough , especially after losing 5 transports and the situation in Europe/Russia -
great game and fun to play! A couple of things. i think this game was lost for you many rounds ago. Although I cant say exactely when.
I like your buy G1. It does not look to sharp at first but it does a nice job in the sea lion. I dont protect London good enough because of that silly Normandy attack. And then there is suddenly a game when you score well above average in the sea lion. BUT you can not let me blow up your transports like that. A carrier G3 would have saved the day. Imagine you could ship cheep infantry to Russia afterwards…
With Italy. You have to buy destroyers and kill some subs, they are killing you. You could easily do this when I was busy in 109.
Maybe a transport in south africa to go and pick up some neutrals in south america?
You are a good player, but you need to protect your transports better with Germany and Japan. When moving the big nations its important to spend some time…

@oysteilo ah yea South America but none of those territories are worth anything I don’t think and you have the naval edge so it would have been tricky transporting duoes back to Africa and very slow to get them all The way to the Middle East
Also… I’ve done sea lion a good number of times and you are the only one who has put US units in range to attack the German navy on turn 3. I’ve never had the German navy attacked immediately after a sea lion any other time.
Japan … I usually struggle playing Japan ha. Italy probably at some point when you had those subs in the med could have maybe built a destroyer or 2 but you saw I was focused on placing units in Iraq and Egypt and protecting against a naval assault on Rome -
Its a known strategy to buy bombers with usa to blow up german navy after sea lion. It means the german land units surviving sea lion is stuck in England: Advantage Russia.
Argentina and Chile are worth 2 each as well as 6 inf. And no, the point is to let them sit in South america. Maybe take Brazil. It is a hazzle for usa to deal with it.
Count up the convoy damage for italy and see where you sre at. I bet 2 destroyers would have at least halfed the damage!

@oysteilo again - i have not been attacked by US aircraft after a sealion ever except for in this game or have i seen it in any other game. also - if Germany lands in Scotland round 2 then the only place for US bombers to land is Ireland. ill take your word for it about destroyers in the med lol. so yea - i should have also went for south america with Italy after you attacked the neutrals.
