@simon33 Hm. Bit of naval disaster. Not quiet like your Chinese army, but much more costly.

I’ve never been able to pull of a German navy while having and success in Russia, you have 2 of them, and success in Russia. Good learning experience on how to play Germany for me, your japan was stellar as always.
I think my issue was that I couldn’t get anything going in the Atlantic without loosing either the pacific side or the middle east. I should have given up on one of the three at the start instead of halfassing all 3 of them and getting my ass kicked in all three of them

I guess the trick is to not over-invest in navy too early. That will seriously hamper the success in the east. Germany’s golden unit ist die mech.
I’m thinking the first stand-point is Ukraine. If Russia tries to defend Leningrad they’re smoked. So the mechs are invaluable in the effort of making a stand in Ukraine as early as possible, not getting stuck in a halt. Every turn counts, of course.
I did a really bad move stacking the italian pansar in E Poland after having gotten control of Ukraine. Meant R could just block Rostov with 1 inf. Far too cheap, while a serious italian can-opening had made a block very costly.
Anyhow I reached the main goal of getting hold of Stalingrad and Caucasus quickly enough. Then I just saw a shot at the ME which was rather weak, but with fast build-up potential with 3 mICs in the area, while still not relieving the pressure on Russia.
I think UK should build maximum 2 mICs there. They have difficulty utilizing 3 and also having 1 in SA. Mechs from the south is actually more economic and safe.
