Still strange though, that I am not able to set up games at all, but are able to play games set up by opponents. Off course with the “tripleA not able to post to forum issue”.

@barnee Thanks. Turns out one team player was using an ancient version of Triplea engine. We’ll just have to manually adjust for the few land battles that use gas. Most players will build DD’s making first strike less relevant.
As Panther says, he needs a saved game to diagnose what happened.
Indeed, the scenarios mentioned have been working flawlessly for years and in countless games.
The savegame helps identifying what happened in the specific game.
I know of no plans to make another computer version of A&A. However, there are several organizations that host on-line play of various types, including GameTable Online and AAMC. A Google search should turn most of them up.
