    Trying to figure out what to do next. Usually, as the Japanese, I have to guard homeland and the empire, splitting my fleet. Allies usually have transports and grab Caroline or Java. I usually can’t afford enough tt’s to threaten Austr or Hawaii. But in our game, I have just one transport to move into the center of the Empire, and the W.C. fleet is weaker than the IJN home fleet. I can’t protect tt retaking Mid or Wake. While you have many tt’s that can go to either India or Austr., altho not immediately to Caroline. I can’t take the focus off of Germany, because that’s where the game is always won. I’ve never won or lost to Japan, its always Euro Axis. The wife will be using the computer and I will be doing Christmas cards, so I won’t take my turn until tomorrow eve at the earliest.

    @FMErwinRommel Np…when you are ready is fine.

    From my experience (which isnt perfect!) I have found that letting japan balloon invariably results in an axis victory, whether through extra land forces taking out russia and britain, or getting that last pac VC, hawaii or NSW. Whereas no matter what the US/Uk do in europe, they just cant match the 20 unit buying power of germany for a very long time…if allies can get enough fleet to hold the channel, and enough air to hold T-J or cairo, then maybe the US can overpower the japanese enough to get their economy large enough to successfully fight a two front war.

    You are in a tricky position now though for sure!

    Problem is, I would need to build and sacrifice many tt’s to take isles for N.O.'s. 4 isles for one N.O. & 3 isles for the other Pacific N.O. Those isles have no terr. value, so only viable when U.S. has a commanding presence. Normally, my Allied opponents manage to take the channel, if briefly to get ten points. But in this game, you can match my build up. Altho that in itself would divert your resources from Russia.
