I don’t know if memes are allowed but I’ve done this by accident a few times and it is devastating. Had to make this meme to mitigate my sorrow.
So whenever enemy submarines are in the same SZ, they’re just trapped there the whole game unless someone sets their profile to not submerge? Really stupid how it doesn’t let us move away the sub during combat phase because it doesn’t result in combat, but then it forces an attack attempt on the enemy sub which prevents you from moving yours during noncombat phase…
And as soon as one of us selects a defence profile with the subs not submerging, the other will be able to see that he can move his sub out of the combat zone during the combat phase, and therefore should not move it, as he’s getting better odds at attacking than the defender. Pretty funny glitch. I’m submerging bye!
Oh hey, you managed to recreate a glitch I posted about a super-long time ago:

I was never able to figure out exactly how to replicate it though. Good on you. Hopefully @JuliusBorisovBeamdog finds this and can get it to the development team.
Not sure I’d even call it a glitch. Considering that the few times a SZ has contained subs and only subs from both factions, this has always happened, I’d call it a feature :D

@Kakarrot1138 You do know about selecting the sea zone during combat movement phase and toggling the sea zone to friendly / hostile?
I think there might be a submarine-specific issue that triggers separately that prevents legal movement; I sent a ticket in to the devs months ago. Don’t know if it’s resolved. I do know I played a game maybe a week ago in which glitch seemed to work, but maybe it’s just because opponent was bad.
@Kakarrot1138 Mark the Sea zone as friendly and you won’t have to commit combat there. It doesn’t involve any use of defense profiles.
Thanks, didn’t know about that. Won’t delete the thread in case it helps someone else.
