-what I end up doing is copying the entire comment block, and pasting it into my reply once for each individual point I am going to reply to.  Then I just delete out the extraneous bits from each section.  This seems faster to me than going in and adding the extra [qu0te][/qu0te] tags in the original text to make room for your comments.

Krieghund has answered this question for me already (I’m in the same situation).  Basically, there is no definite answer yet because they haven’t finalized the rules for global.  Once they do, they can narrow it down for pacific and europe only maps.

What I have been doing is using Alpha 3 and giving the US only 20 IPCs more to balance it out a bit.  You’ll find that the US is way too strong with 30.

It’s not that hard to roll dice. For example, to roll 2 infantry, a tank, and a bomber, you’d type : aaa 2@1 1@3 1@4 : without the spaces

DiceRolls: 2@1 1@3 1@4; Total Hits: 32@1: (4, 1)1@3: (1)1@4: (1)
This also tells you how many hits you got

Perhaps if my computer and board were in the same room I’d be willing to do it, but since they aren’t I would have to write all the rounds down on paper and THEN type it out on the computer.  I’ll probably just wait till my friends can get together to play it in person.  Unless there is someone out there willing to play an email game without all the rounds of combat being shown?

Exactly- if you look at the hi-res pic of the board- it looks like the desert runs along the border between West and Central.  While the border itself it bright blue (not covered by the white of the desert as it is along the SW border of Algeria) the desert looks like it covers the entire border on the FWA side- making a crossing impossible.  But it Does need to be clarified.

Miamibeach, true if you can counter the SZ112 fleet of Germany you don’t go after the Italians I guess.

However if you can’t or Germany does not go Sea Lion this is very good attack and I am not quite sure this attack was foreseen during playtest.

p.s. you talk about 9 inf defending UK, but what about the Canadian troops coming in?

Yes, there is no way to eliminate can opener strategies because the Axis need to work together, and the Allies need to work together in order to win the game.

Historically they tried to have around 80 airplanes in Malta.  Initially these were the outdated Glostor Gladiator biplanes (and at the start of the war they only had 5!) But they kept shipping airplanes to Malta via Aircraft Carrier until they had around 80. These include Spitfire Vs, Hurricane IIs as well as some single engined ground attack planes as well as some Bristol Beaufighters and even a squadron of De Havilland Mosquitoes in late 1942.

Malta was a good place for an airbase
