Everybody hit, which was bad for me. Need both bombers so didn’t take back N. Italy. I wanted to take Italian turn before deciding Germ moves, to speed the game up. So Italian mech in Smol may NCM by edit on Germ turn. Axis rolled poorly on your turn. Bombers in China took one hit as expected, but still managed to kill all 3 Japanese defenders. So instead of me losing 2 inf and China getting 2, which would have been a breakeven TUV, it was +6 TUV. Japan can’t afford 5 China builds. I expected DD blocker in Phil, but not by Guam.

@FMErwinRommel yes that was a good round of rolling for allies…although with typical perverseness your 1 hit was against a bomber! If the marine in paulau had hit or one of the troops in shan state had then things would have been better for allies…oh well cant complain too much!
Shame to have to use 2 blockers but cant afford a toe to toe with the IJN just yet…the sweetener was being able to use the aussie fighter on the US carrier to sink the undefended tt…hopefully that will put a bit of a dent in your plans!

I saw that the ANZ fighter on U.S. CV could reach sz19, but thought you wouldn’t move fleet north because I could sink it. But overlooked your putting blocker by Guam. I could have moved tt to sz6, but you still could reach there with ANZ fighters that could land on CV that moved from U.S. > sz16. It wasn’t likely you would send a CV there just to sink a tt, so I should have moved my tt to sz6.

You rolled great and I rolled poorly in 6 of the 7 battles. I lost 4 fighters, 2 from lucky hits in important battles; and 2 in an unnecessary battle in Sicily. The AA hit (50% chance), your DD hit. I attacked with at least twice the units and up to 3 times the power in every battle. But still had to take a fighter in the Caucasus and didn’t take Tambov. Gambled that AA would miss in Sicily, but used enough planes that I would still wipe you out if I took a hit. TUV only -2 and could have been positive. Wanted to get rid of the marines to reduce your amphib units. Didn’t have enough planes to take out the marine in Sard, so you still get the N.O. without having to land more troops.
Perversely, the only battle where you didn’t score a hit was the meaningless one in Volog.

@FMErwinRommel Well, you finally amassed enough forces to oust the Russians from Moscow…time to go guerilla! Not bad lasting for 18 turns…now the game gets tense!
Once Germ gets 8 income per turn for Moscow and Russ no longer gets 6 units per turn, the income differential will be cut, but not eliminated. UK has many fighters that can move to the Mideast and can crank out lots of ground troops there. So I see a prolonged buildup and a long game.
