@wizmark actually it works from land haha. Accoring to the rules:
New Unit - Marines: Cost 5; Attack at 1; Attack at 2 when involved with an amphibious assault; Defend at 2; No bonus from artillery; Can be loaded onto cruisers and battleships (1 to a ship).
Note: During amphibious assaults, Battleships and Cruisers may bombard territories other than the one they unload their marines into. Also during amphibious assaults, Marines attack at 2 even if they arrived over land (to join an amphibious assault by other ground units). Kamikazes (by themselves) do not prevent and cannot be used against a marine amphibious assault that is from a different power’s cruiser/battleship. Marines loaded in the combat movement phase must conduct amphibious assault in that same phase.

@Pejon_88 I wonder if it is required/preferred to build more inf and art in this game with Germany than in BM3. Do you know?
@Pejon_88 well i played against sovietishcat as the axis in my first league game ptv, and from about round 6 onwards i literally just built inf with the odd fighter or tac every turn just to keep a front line…won the game with the japanese in the end. With all the extra territories its v hard for germany to push to leningrad, stalingrad and caucasus and to keep the western allies out as well…I found mechs just too expensive to buy!

@Pejon_88 I, unintentionally had one too many planes in/around Wake Island in that attack. What happened now is that the tac without a landing space was lost. We can try and solve this anyway you like, but since it is not a league game, maybe it is easier to just let it be? You decide of course, but at least I lost a unit worth 10 IPC. What do you think?
