Figured it out. It was just a capitalized letter that caused the problem.

Yes, 32-bit Windows has some RAM limitations/restrictions.

Once a savegame is loaded, you can use the “Game-Show History”-feature and watch everything right from the beginning.

when I hacked it… I got it to run 600x480 but it wasn’t a real windowed mode per say it just wasn’t full screen…
the problem that I had with this windowed mode was that the color pallete was all messed up

you should be opening the games main exe ( AxisAllies.exe )
if you can’t get it to work then use The Starter Pack at http://ewarzone.com/aa.html which is pre-patched
