I’ve created a separate thread for my work on the OOB 1914 map. Please go here to discuss it in more detail.
Axis and Allies Global Second Edition - 1936 or 1937 Setup?
-
I like the setup information for Axis and Allies Global Second Edition 1939 and was wondering if there is a setup for the global game for 1936 which include the Italian - Ethiopian conflict, or if there is global setup starting in 1937 which would primarily include China and Japan?

@Vader77
Ive been Looking for a 1936 set up didnt found One but 2 different for 1939. Could you Tell me if you already found One? Thanks man -
@panzerlord1939 Unfortunately, Vader hasn’t been online in five years :(
If you two are still looking for 1936 A&A, I would recommend either getting Global War 1936 from HBG, or creating a custom ruleset/setup based off one of the many 1939 setups for this game or/and Hearts of Iron.
I wish I could say there was one, but none exist yet for G40 on this site.

@CentralCommando
Hello thank for your reply, tell me how should I get into Global war? It looks amazing but too expensive. -
@panzerlord1939 Hello, typically you can recreate the game components by finding images/units online and printing them out. You can also use online games such as Tabletop Simulator to play it as well. Do know that these components will be lower quality than the real deal, but these are some solutions to getting this game for cheap(er).

@CentralCommando
Could you send me some if found any or where I could find It myself? -
@panzerlord1939 Here’s what I could find in a couple quick Google searches:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2889181367 - Global War 1936 v4 on Tabletop SImulator (Note, this game costs twenty dollars and is solely online.
https://boardgamegeek.com/image/6709067/global-war-1936-1945-third-edition - Global War 1936 v3 board on Boardgamegeek , you should also find other components there as well for free.
https://www.historicalboardgaming.com/Global-War-1936_ep_68-1.html - Here is the official Global War page on HBG. Here you can buy any components you don’t currently have/replicate (costs money, but may be cheaper than buying the whole game outright).
Hopefully this helps!

@CentralCommando
From boardgamegeek am I supposed to print the Map? Am quite new at this and this website XD…
Thanks for your help man. -
@panzerlord1939 Yeah, you’ll likely have to print it out, unless you plan on playing digitally. And, I know you probably don’t understand some of the terminology and printing (it took a while for me too) but you’ll get the hang of it. If you have more questions, let me know!
And you’re welcome :)

@CentralCommando
Yo thanks for everything!
Last question for today ;) XD. Are there any significant changes From versión 3 and 4 for me to consider buying and shipping the Map From HBG instead of primting the 3 rd versión From geek? -
@panzerlord1939 From what I know of, there’s a couple rule and map changes through the versions (e.g. some maps have Bessarabia while others don’t). It isn’t anything too major, but it is something to consider. Just make sure you try to get components for the specific versions (easier for v4 as its the newest).
You’re welcome, and I’m glad I could help! :)))
