Sz46 need not be cleared, it must just be “possible” for it to be cleared. A single submarine suiciding into the indomitable Japanese fleet would give take off clearance for any aircraft that would have a landing spot should the submarine pull off the impossible…

Feel free to adjust as needed. :)

From a realistic point of view lots of the necessary abstract rules of a&a is silly. This one is among the least silly of the silly rules in my opinion. Arguable the silly part is that you need to suicide something. In as big an area as a sea zone there should be a possibility for one fleet to by-pass another. But for game balance, I figure, that is not the case.

In general I’d argue all rules are obvious too follow unless otherwise agreed upon in person or in the circumstances you play. I’ve been away quite awhile from online a&a; are it nowday’s not common for that rule to be enforced among league play?
