AAZ FAQ: coming anytime soon?

Thank you for your interest. I’ve finished the 1914 map, but haven’t had much time to work on the AAZ map. I’ve managed to retouch about 20% of the folds I guess, but don’t know when I have more time at hand to finish the work.

Slightly off-topic but I thought about the possibility of introducing these Zs to the not-official-but-close-enough-to-GameMaster-Series boardgame of Buck Rogers: Battle for the 25th Century…

2023 UPDATE

As we finally played AAZ again we were wondering:

Did more people interprete this rule wrongly?
Namely that you had to destroy ALL Zs that were present in an Z-controlled area?

If I introduce players to AAZ it seems all of them expect this to be the case: that you only get the bonus if ALL Z-units are destroyed.

Just wondering…

If you read this thread you’d fine that the short version of my verdict on the game was:

So you’re in good company here. Most of the haters are over on the G40 board.

As an FYI, earliar statements on the OOB rules having an individual winner in case of apocalypse turned out to be wrong.  It is the “side” that wins in that case.  Having an individual winner would be a tournament house rule.

I know you are just joking, but I think you should be a better man than bringing our differencies from the Polar Express thread into the Zombie zone. I would never go that low on you, because I got self respect. In fact, I am as we speak in the process of designing a Scandinavian game based on A&A BotB, only with terrain. Different units will have specific movement range, and also different terrain will effect movement. Like motorized units have unlimited spaces of movement if they travel by roads, but cant move into mountain terrain. Norwegian ski-troops move 3 spaces when in snow, German mountain troops move 2 spaces in snow, they used snowshoes and not skis, but they can climb and cross mountain ranges. Regular British, French, Polish and Swedish infantry only move 1. Artillery work by shelling adjacent spaces, not charging like they were some kind of infantry. Tanks absorb two hits, etc etc, lots of new rules but I like to keep it KISS. Aircrafts will have its own specific combat phase, with dog-fights and carpet bombing, and not like some kind of advanced infantry like they are in the current A&A games. Enough. Buy my game when its ready. Then we can talk. Today zombies are the topic. Respect that !!! Man.

Gees another game I got to buy ? Well I guess so. Anything as close to historic.  8-)

The Chainsaw tanks are in the game - it’s just that Chainsaw tanks are a technology that you research. There is no Chainsaw tank sculpt and I suspect there never was going to be a piece of plastic called the “Chainsaw Tank” - from Hasbro/WotC/AH. Mark my words, though - there will be purchasable Chainsaw tanks from Shapeways from at least one seller there before the end of 2018. By 4th of July, 2019, at the latest.

Time will tell.
