So what’s the top secret Anzac plan to take Japan? You can trust me, I’m a pro!
That would be telling.
I can exchange intelligence on the Dutch or Mongolians.
Fair enough. First, as a sign of good faith, I’ll need you to withdraw the Germans for no more than 3 months.

I got lucky with the AA gun and then especially with the first round of that attack.
Yep, well played though, I’ve posted results.
Good game. I actually did feel you were ahead when I was playing Japan, but then felt relatively good about the Axis when playing Italy and Germany. Japan was really in shambles and if you hadn’t lost the UK air force, I think you’d have taken FIC pretty soon (and of course all the Pacific Islands other than Japan) and Japan’s income was heading towards zero.
In your place, I would have abandoned Moscow as even if you had favorable rolls, you lacked a counter-attack. If I had bad rolls, I would have retreated and attacked in 1-2 turns.
I would have stacked infantry more in Moscow and bought very few offensive units.
You could have invaded Norway once or twice and I didn’t have a transport to reinvade. Of course I made my share of small errors.
I guess the problem with leaving Moscow is that your best path (to UK allies in Persia) is blocked, and the path to Japan’s part of China is a long one.
A&A remains my favorite game.
We can play one more league game before I hit my 3 game cap…
I’m up for another game.
I probably need to figure out the Pacific arena (notably the islands and the US/Japan part) the most. I’m more used to the land play of Revised. And in most cases land units can run away from battles they’ll lose (or you have much smaller unit values), whereas boats can get caught. Probably due to the faster movement to number of spaces ratio (and perhaps also because planes can make life very difficult for boats, but generally a stack of infantry is safe).
The US also faces very long supply lines.
I think Vichy is a trap. Vichy looks like a great idea because of the short-term pay-off, but it isn’t worth it as the Allies can easily conquer 3-5 IPCs in Africa and 1 IPC with Syria (and Italy or Germany can use the 3 IPC from Southern France - though you can get that with Vichy too). Most of that will go to UK which is very helpful.
I’ve heard that bombers were good, so I bought a good number of those with Germany. I didn’t get in as many SBRs as I’d like, but they might still be useful - especially in the last few turns of sieging Russia - while also threatening (or being 1 turn away from threatening) the Allies Atlantic fleets.
I, to my peril, dislike bombing because it’s so dicey but… bombing can be huge.
I’ll try and give you a better game this time.
I’ll start the bidding by offering you the Allies plus a measly 3 IPC.
I’ll offer you Allies +6.
I’m back to being clueless about where to place the bid. So many options. Is it possible to hold the Burma road for one more turn with a good bid? That’d be nice. Otherwise, saving a transport is always a worthy goal.
Allies +7.
An extra sub or two for the UK is what I see most often.
Allies +9. BTW if I did take +7 could I do a sub + 1 IPC to a country? Or do you need to place the full bid?
No, the left over can go to the country of your choice.
+9 is compelling - I’m going to go shovel some dirt and think about it. I think you just beat me and I had +12 so… actually I can skip the garden ponder - I offer Allies +10.
I’ll take Allies with a sub on Z91 and art in Alexandria.
The new game is setup here:

and here’s the file for making your scramble (London/Scotland) decisions. I’d wish you good luck but that’s the last thing I need…
