Tough call, but will go ahead and scramble 2 fighters, 1 tac.
OOL: subs, DD, tac, cruiser, fighters
take ur time
I take a fig and keep the des.
If you press on, I presume it’s a fig against 1 des, 2 fig then.
u can see the battle up in the log
next time i wont do it on my own
i just keep backwarding myself
i have to redo usa ncm placement
do not know if it will be today
cheers
but i was expecting u ll announce OOL or say that u want to decide upon cas in advance, since it was small battle
but u werent obliged to do it in advance, to say, to prepare me , of course
OOL is usually tedious in advance and I rarely do it, except when it’s very evident and may speed up the process. Here I haden’t processed different outcomes and hence hadn’t reflected upon OOL. I would’ve though having a hit on the table. I believe I would’ve chosen the same as I did now.
Of course, looking back at it 1 hit was the only instance I’d have to choose anything, so defining an OOL might have been proper. They way we usually do it is the defender defines OOL if asked for. If not, the defender gets the choice if need be (which it usually is), otherwise the attacker may assume if it’s evident. Unfortunately it wasn’t in this case.
n o i do not think about ool in advance
but to remind me (in advance) u want to choose the cas
a very busy day at work so i will play this tomorrow in peace.
so i dont make more errors

but u have so many games so maybe its not smart i expect it xd
i am not saying u wouldnt take a dd if u didnt knew u scored 3 hits, but maybe U would, who knows, its a choice. but with 3 hits of urs, keeping the dd seems nice in one way.
I had about 3 hits to be expected, so I’d go for it. But it’s not for certain. Like you say I unfortunately got an advantage when choosing knowing the defense roll. The important thing is that I’d likely taken a fig anyway.

Hopefully dragging down a few aussie subs, while not risking any air. Pretty nice.
i think i wont alter usa placement after all,
i dont have extra land units for korea :(
One tricky rule question:
Say that you had one sub left in that battle and nothing else. Since it was built into z6, can it retreat from the battle? Somehow it should, but where? It didn’t come from anywhere. :)

Seems like it:
“The attacker (never the defender) can retreat during this step. Move all attacking land and sea units in that combat that are on the battle strip to a single adjacent friendly space from which at least 1 of the attacking land or sea units moved. In the case of sea units, that space must have been friendly at the start of the turn. All such units must retreat together to the same territory or sea zone, regardless of where they came from.”
Partly they “came” from z6 and partly z6 wasn’t friendly at the start of the turn.
