Rule number 1 does look like it might be good to include.

The ‘Sub Stall’ is an old rule, that’s about transports not being able to load from a seazone that has “submerged” submarines in it.

I don’t like red units for japs, they seem like soviet units to me with that color. Not a big issue in AAPacific, but I really hope they include orange pieces in AA40 or we are going to have a very confusing board (and more if they stick to brown italian units, augh!)

I think it might also have to do with the additional rules/exceptions not found in other AA games such as CAPS, airfields, naval bases, Japan’s first round attack on US forces (defending at 1).

According to the user manual Allied units (both Commonwealth and Us forces,…not only Us forces) may defend only with a roll of 1. Of course, any attacks made in Chinese territory are defended by rolling at full strength.

It is certainly more interesting to add more than 3 players in the game, but I’m having difficulties to find even one (not by PBEM or online I mean).

I’d love to see your cruiser rules when they are ready.

Wow!  I am flattered!  Thanks for the vote of confidence on the articles.  Really, I prepared the essays hoping to get more players interested in the game, so that I would have more opponents.

I still have 1 or 2 more essays ideas to finish but have been too busy to complete it.  I’ll try to get to the last ones in the next few weeks.
