this game is proving very much that bombers are way overpowered, especially for the euro axis who don’t really need any navy. this is why @Adam514 is testing out ideas for nerfing them a bit, like adjusting their cost up to 14. it’s insane the kind of reach that they have. after this game, I’m thinking even 14 is too cheap. I feel like they shouldn’t be so powerful against navy, since if you think about it, strategic bombers were used much more for bombing cities and infrastructure. hence the “strategic” aspect in their name.
Yeah, Dark Skies is too powerful of a strategy. It does need to get nerfed. 14 PUs would make it so you don’t use bombers to strafe any random thing that moves.

I think you would have won the championship if you had gone for bombers instead of fleet.
We do need a mobile unit that can move between theaters to project power on the various fronts. If aircraft weren’t so overpowered, would we get into a land unit war with long stalemates that are only overcome when slight imbalances in production finally give enough advantage for one side to overcome the impasse?

@Adam514 yeah, bombers with a few units of ground units are devastating. Bombers cost 3/attack point while art+inf are 2/attack point. The flexibility to project power in three theaters simultaneously make bombers such a good value.

I have to agree with you on that
Yeah, that looked like 8 bombers worth of fleet. That would have been enough to have turned the tide in other theaters while keeping the Atlantic landing force at bay.
Looked through at that pivotal turn 15 time in that championship game. Another eight bombers would have made a 160 TUV swing in Egypt confrontation, and you would have kept all of your planes to then go after Russia and the Atlantic fleet.
