the order is like the poster above me mentioned, but use the a2 rules. basically you want britian to scramble planes to attack your force. you have sub fodder and more planes dying in a naval fight are less planes in Britain. This has been stated in the bigger threads about sea lion and axis builds.

on a side note, even scrambling planes wont destroy your fleet. carrier to take a hit with 2-3 subs and a cruiser for bombardment, and the 2 scrambled carrier planes.

But remember, subs can’t hit planes and planes can’t hit subs without a destroyer present.

NO stands for National Objective.

thank you very much, I should have figured that’s what it was, I actually love the national objectives, particularly Lebensraum; even though the historical link between lebensraum and the actual launching of Barbarossa is slightly tenuous. I found as a historian the national objectives (NO) really adds to the game because it really grounds the action in concrete history.

Oops, I guess you would just use the Italians….ok maybe fancy Chinese units :) I’ll try not to miss the obvious next time I post. Seriously, for those who get Italian and Russia piece colors mixed up, blue would be obvious in a homemade aa50.

Lets say you kept Italians in this set , and split the French pieces so you could have two games going…aae40 and aa50Homemade. Its a stretch.

Back to the point of this forum, I can see the option for France to build a carrier if they are not taken round 1…an Idea I have posted for speeding up a Russian invasion potentially. Granted it would probably be sank, but it could be built, now how about that French Battleship? :)

Well I’m not sure if modifications are necessary or not since Alpha +2. But then again, I wasn’t exactly planning on writing a strategy guide, just a beginner’s guide, hence the title.

the same goes for a rail system. in the future if i can i will incorporate a rail, and block house system for my A&A games. they would really add a new prospective.

I would buy it but I would also be upset and feel like WOTC is cheating me out of my money because they should already have this included for a $70.00 BOARD GAME.

I agree with this statement and I will buy all my extra stuff from FMG.

Any news on when FMG will start selling the pieces?
