Two notes. I assumed no scramble off 97 as I had 99% odds (with the scramble). It was the only combat though and I have a save posted if you would like to do that differently. Also, in the combat, I went max D for you. This meant I took out the destroyer before the Battleship was destroyed. After the first round you had only one unit left and so I left teh Battleship. However, I conserved my sub and then that hit on the subsequent round so your battleship didn’t get a shot. If you think you would have kept the destroyer to avoid that situation, feel free to roll another hit.
And apologies if I was too eager to get to the combat.
I tried to find a way to save it with double air base and two loaded carriers. That would probably been enough but then southern italy became too vulnerable.
