@mike64 question… can fighters land on a damaged carrier? I know they can’t take off from one but if the carrier is damaged on an attack can the fighters still land on it…or are the fighters lost if no landing space is available.

Planes on/near Malta could have reached Iraq. I think they should have done so. Even though you will retake Egypt, I can’t see you getting back the Middle East, which should lead to death for both Egypt and USSR. That’s one of the reasons I pressed on in India - killing some units which might otherwise escape to fight there.
