so i made a silly mistake. the five fighters and tac bomber in iraq came from syria. I intended to send thos to russia but somehow i send them to caucasus. The correct battle in caucasus should be 1 fighter from iraq and 2 inf+1 art

There should be a way. Let me check.
This is what I suggest:
The units not in participation may be taken away from the batt.e. That is 4 fig, 1 tac. Those dice will then simply be reduced from the battle.
The rolled dice of battle round 1 stays, where G hit 1 and US hit 1 with the land units.
The complication then comes from the fig of which we have to deduce which of the 2/5 was left.
Looking at the distribution of hits a 1D5 can be rolled, where hits are 2 and 3 and misses are 1, 4 and 5.

Now maybe the simplest is to just redo that battle with those units, like restarting and setting it up.

You may, but then do it by edit and then remove the units. The back-side is that you might want to know the outcome of the battle before you go with the brits.
