That attack went above odds for Japan, she should have lost 2 more planes which and this is a big burden.
This attack was an option though considering you play Adam and might want to take chances. Under the given circumstance you got away with it but Japan still had to pay a significant price.

Well it remains to be seen whether I will get away with it. There are some conceivable moves for the allies which if dice favour the allies will make that move really dodgy.
9 planes down for Japan so far so yes, it would have been nice to keep some more. I do tend to think that there are “more where that came from”. If everything works out for the Axis it will probably have been worth it. It was risky.
