The edit was because I undid a NCM move from N. Italy > France to reduce the number of units going there. But when I tried to move the units that that were undone, and put them in W. Ger instead, it wouldn’t let them move. Now that Italy has lots of units in Russia, doesn’t look like they will be needed all at once. Drastic moves by Italy. Couldn’t decide what to do with its income, so I let it accumulate.

Perverse dice. In 4 of the 5 battles, I had a sub or a second infantry to take a hit from your sole defender. But the only defender that hit, was the one where I had to take a fighter because I didn’t have a cheaper unit in that battle.

Allied fleet move to Eng Chan was a good move for you. Let’s you get 10 points for beachhead N.O. and territory value, at minimal cost in troops, and your transports won’t get sunk like in the Pacific… Bases give you scramble and repair and your fleet was unsinkable. So Germany took drastic measures. Luckily, Germany has the resources and is secure on its other borders.

I have a technical question before I finish my NCM and post Japan’s turn. The Triplea notes, general rules state that “(PE) All air moved must have a way of potentially being picked up or landing”. If you could only attack a SZ by air, if your CV moved close enough for you to land on it; should you be required to move your CV to that location, even if you chose to take your plane as a hit in the attack? Or can you choose not to move the CV? Sounds to me like you are not forced to actually move the CV if the plane was lost. But the rule states that “all air must be picked up if possible.” So if the plane survives, you have to move the CV.

Perverse dice again. I rolled overwhelming against sole defenders, but only 1 for 6 in Java first round, and you rolled 2 for 4. Second round rolled great, but you rolled great in both rounds, forcing me to take a bomber as a hit. For the second turn in a row, Allied sub in sz55 rolled a one, so I had to put another DD in as blocker. That’s 1/36 odds of rolling a one, twice. Nonetheless, Japan is still in good defensive position, and has finally invaded the Indian Ocean with a large enough pack of subs to interrupt your defense of SZ 80 or force UK to make a bigger investment defending itself.

Your understanding is mine also. A F or Tac only theoretically needs to be picked up by a CV. If the plane is lost during the battle, there is no need to send the CV.

Forgive the edits, but the vast Japanese Imperial Empire is so vast and there are so many units, that I forgot to NCM 3 infantry from FIC > Shan and 2 fighters from India > Malaya

My only other game ended on Saturday, so my turns are faster now. When I’d think about the games, but wasn’t actually at the computer, I couldn’t always remember the situation for each country, since I was playing Axis in both and some aspects were similar and some not, and the game turns were close. I temporarily dropped to level 2, but once the latest win is added to the game results spreadsheet, I will just squeak back up to level 1.
