    I edited out the Japanese fighter for a damaged CV. Yes, I was lucky, as I knew the bombers from Aust could reach; but didn’t consider that the fighters from Aust could land on the CV, because the CV fighters could land in Hawaii. My move to unoccupied Midway & Wake achieved my goal of sending the U.S. fleet back to Hawaii and taking pressure off of Germany, with the E.C. CV going to the Pacific and W.C. builds. ANZAC air & fleet were also completely worn down, but by keeping Java, it gets more cash to rebuild. I’ve used air attacks on garrisons in China in my other games, when I had excess air to spare. Germany has lots of spare subs to lure and sink U.S. DD’s, since I can’t get close enough to attack your Gibraltar fleet. Building an I.C. in Arabia for U.S. to build front line ground troops is a benefit of attacking the neutrals.

    @FMErwinRommel Well that was an absolute horror show! -6 on the rolling!!!

    Had to play about with editing non com and a walkthrough…sorry about that, rather late here!

    Yes, that was a series of 4 bad rounds in Volg. I would have used a tank instead of the mech to attack. But even so, the 3rd die on round 1 would still have missed, and the mech die would continue to roll 4’s in the next 2 rounds, so a tank wouldn’t have helped in this extreme case. I used a tank to blitz thru Yakut and then forgot to move the infantry from Bury > Yakut. Or move the one in Sak. I tried to position my units to attack your retreating army with as much power as possible, to prevent it from escaping. The odds are favorable, but not great. And the TUV will likely be negative. So perhaps leaving Yakut open was good, as that extra Russian unit would have made the combat odds unfavorable.

    The U.S. lost 2 bombers, 4 fighters and a CV at Midway and a bomber over China, thus temporarily losing its powerful air presence and forced the fleet to retreat. U.K. reduced its fighter level in India, and if it attacks the Japanese fleet with the remaining planes and its small fleet, it will lose India. UKPac’s increased income will put pressure on Japan. It will be a race for Japan to retake DEI and bring its northern Russia forces back south and the U.S. to rebuild and move across the Pacific.
