New set up for Axis & Allies

Yeah but I also disagree with you so take it for what it is. As DM said if it were so easy to win with the Axis the play by email clubs would have lower bids to be the Axis as it is they currently stand at 24+! You’d think that is a lot but not really if you know how to win as the Allies. Even in RR you still need a substantial bid I’d say 14-15, and would always be willing to give the Axis a little to much than play as them with too little.

what evidence is there? What if it’s called “allies and axis”?
What if the author claims to live in ukraine and hosts it on a ukrainian server?

I’ve been playing A&A for quite awhile now. Has anyone else tried the strategy (while playing the Allies) of having Britian and America buy nothing but bombers, and sending them all to Germany (I’m not talking about heavy bombers, but just plain old bombers). I have tried this numerous times, and by the end of the 3rd round, Germany usually can’t buy anything. Even when Russia falls to Germany, and Japan gets really strong, if UK and US keep buying bombers, Germany and ultimately Japan simply can’t make enough money to buy anything. AA guns have proven to my satisfaction that they are not able to combat this strategy. I am very interested to know if anyone else has tried this.

Our local group hasn’t played AA much in the last few years. Allies always win even with RR, germans with jet power and Japs with super subs.

The idea of bidding is re-kindling interest I must say.

Guest: Your friend could probably be refering to some of the expantion packs. I have tried two different packs. Both with new kinds of boats. Half-battleships, escorts, and destroyers. Could be more, i dont remember.

You can build an IC in previously neutral territories, and in other territories without any income value. An IC in territories like this can produce one unit each turn.

Look at the manual (second edition) page 14.

I agree with Zero on all his comments except on the above regarding battleships.

Battleships are allowed their special one shot only if they were not involved in a naval battle. If the battleship is present in the same SZ as a naval battle, it has to participate (just like any attacking transports present). After the naval battle, the battleship’s turn is done and it cannot fire its special one shot onto the land battle.

Wild2000 is right. Silly me. That’s a house rule we have that Battleships can participate in both battles. Silly me.
