I normally maintain peace with the west and go after USSR & China. There’s a possibility of a UK2 DOW with that. I think USSR’s best response is to hold in Buryatia. Those troops aren’t getting back to Moscow in time anyway. I’ve never seen USSR helping out China but maybe it would make sense if there’s no UK2 DOW? The Soviet air force could defend against strategic bombing G3 and also defend Yunnan J3. Never thought about that before.

May be another good time to remind that all the territories on the Western Board belong to UK Atl econ

And all the territories on the Easter Board belong to UK pac economy….

The only exceptions to these rules are Canadian territories which belong to UK Atl and West India that belongs to UK pac…I think…The UK pac only has the $1 for Canada when you play the Pac board alone

Regardless of “whose” british units capture these territories.  Iraq, Persia etc always belong to UK Atl., for example.  If you want a MiC in Persia, only UK Atl can buy it or fund purchases there.

There is no such thing as a “UK Pac” or “UK Atl” unit, only separate UK $ and UK control.

Japan may be able to take any IC that the UK has/builds in Africa/Mideast.  A Japan that does a J4 along with sending its entire fleet into the Indian Ocean to take Egypt is tough to beat along with a successful German G1.

It really depends on which method you prefer.
A G1 attack can catch the Russians a little off guard and take advantage of their defenses still being relatively thin. The downfall is that Germany’s offense will also be a little thin and be more prone to Russian counter-attacks.
A G3 or G4 attack allows Germany the maximum build up time before Russia can declare war and can make for a much stronger punch into Russia’s borders all along the line. I often wait until G4 because you can hit Russia on 4 fronts (Romania > Bessarabia, Hungary > E Poland, Poland > Baltic States, Finland > Karelia) and have a very strong front line after the battles - harder for Russia to counter attack. The downfall of this is that Russia also gets 3 turns of build-up so they will have more stuff for you to fight. Generally, Germany will still have more than Russia, but if the dice don’t favor you, your front lines could get really ate up by the time you reach Moscow.
A lot depends on what USA does when they get into the war. If they go 80%-100% Europe, your Russian offensive could peter out fast because you have to fend off an American invasion or try to bail out Italy. On the other hand, Japan should be doing very well in the Pacific and you may get an overall Axis win that way.
If USA goes mostly Pacific, then you should be very successful in Russia. The UK will be busy trying to fight Italy and your U-Boats while you pour tanks into Russia and steadily grind them back. However, If Japan plays poorly, it’s possible the USA could wrap things up in the Pacific early enough to still come over and cause trouble for you in Europe before you can take Moscow. Then it’s the dreaded TWO FRONT WAR for Germany.

It sounds like this became a three-way war:  USSR vs US & UK vs Japan.  I assume that the US and UK were still at war with Japan in the Pacific?

I played a game a while back that was kind of similar.  Basically, Japan never went to war with USA or UK but just attacked China and Russia.  On the other side, Germany and Italy never attacked Russia and only fought with USA and UK.  Well, Germany and Italy ended up getting pounded into the dust.  Japan actually made good progress capturing all of China and getting close to taking Moscow.  One reason for this is most of Russia’s heavy stuff was up against the German border and it took time to get it all east to face the Japanese.  Once Japan got through that 18 infantry, there wasn’t much to stop them from making quick progress.  Once US and UK got finished with Germany and Italy, they decided to side with Japan and declared war on Russia to rid the world of Communism.  Once that happened, Russia fell pretty quickly.  The large US and UK forces that were already in Europe just leap-frogged each other taking Soviet territories and closing in on Moscow from the west while Japan closed in from the east with their massive air force.
One strange thing was here Japan had this huge and powerful navy which was basically useless.  All those ships ended up clustered in SZ 6 and just rusted away from inaction.

You may use the tank and the two infantries in Albania with maybe an artillery and/or an infantry from Northern Italy. This way, Italy would have done it’s part of the deal for Barbarossa and appease Hitler’s demands about it.
