Thanks guys for helping out. A couple weeks a ago I contacted WOTC with my issue and I didn’t know if I was crazy or not; however, they keep asking for more pictures of my board and the rule book, a link to their own FAQ is surely heading their way.

While it’s true that you will occassionally be heard, it will certainly not be an interactive process.  Unless, of course, someone from here decides to take it upon themselves to transpose discussions back and forth between the two sites.  My point is that anything posted here may or may not actually make it back to Larry, whereas if it’s posted there he’ll definitely see it and comment on it.

I’m really not sure what all this resistance is about.  If anyone really wants to participate in this process (or even just watch), what’s the big deal about going over to Larry’s site and paying attention to one thread?

I simply used the money from one of my previous A&A games. I prefer it for when I have left over from the previous turn.

Use the old Red Japanese A&AP Infantry for that - or potentially the old Yellow Japanese Infantry from A&A 2nd Edition.

Not really a ‘trick’, but inexperienced players seem to miss some crucial sea zone connections around Australia. It’s amazing how quickly the US can get into the DEI through that route.

If you at the Aussie naval base you can hit almost all of the DEI as well as PI and can even land in Burma (!) in one turn! It’s things like that that Allied players miss that give th Japanese a bigger advantage. Once you see those, it’s MUCH harder on Japan IMO.

That is awesome, I just did not realize that they had already gotten past the preliminary stages with AAE40.

That’s the reason why I try not to pre-order but wait until the shops get it.  By the time you add in shipping to the discounted pre-order prices, it usually costs more than MSRP.  Damn shipping.  To make it worth my while, I would need to pre-order like 10 to go below MSRP.

Also coolstuffinc.com doesn’t offer free shipping to Hawaii or Alaska!

Ebay sometimes is cheaper even with shipping costs, but you need to hunt for the bargains.
