Thanks, the air only attack avoids kamikaze & subs, very effective. Not much for French to do with Bal Mod Vichy rule. I don’t like to sacrifice a DD, knowing that the Axis will sink it to preserve the 5 point N.O. But hopefully it will give a hit when it is attacked. I like the added N.O.'s for Med isles. It makes the game follow the real war.
All those extra N.O.s in BM3 make it far more realistic, and more prone to follow historical decision making. I like BM3 far more than the OOB 2nd Edition rules
Another realistic change would be to have paratroopers be standard units like marines. They require special training like marines, but no tech breakthrough. Germans took Crete by paratroop & should have taken Malta with their help. Would make taking the Med isles easier and re-capturing them also. Would benefit Italy.

You did a great job of shifting around your forces to take all of DEI and still protect your transports. Your placement of fleets to threaten both Aust & India, made ANZ build troops instead of transport or fighter, & India build infantry instead of mech. You went for the quick, max cash. Since Allies have limited tt’s to take the isles back quickly, this may benefit you for several turns. But in a way, you’re a paper tiger, in that SE Asia and most of DEI are empty; while India & China have lots of troops. My move on your home waters also forced you to build differently than you probably planned.

As the Axis in another league game, I also had Italy take Ukr. I knew it was highly unusual, but Italy started out strong and was raking in the cash (and still is). Now on turn 11, Italy is still building troops in Ukr and can opening for Germany into Volg & Cauc. UK is very close to retaking Egypt and US is walking across N. Africa. But Brit will have to divert to block the Euro Axis from moving south into the Mideast. So Italy may yet hold on to Egypt.
