Okay, I think we can nail down the exact release date of the original NOVA Axis and Allies edition to July 3, 1981, as it debuted at the Origins Game Fair in 1981 and the dates for the Origins Game Fair can be found here:

I would like to do an article for the website about folks that have created custom maps for playing any version of Axis & Allies. I would like pictures and instructions on how to get it done. It can be anything from the vinyl rollup maps, which seem to be popular, to custom painted maps.

Just one request. Can you put a link back to A&A.org on the front page of your site? I see there is a link but it’s quite buried.
