@lincolnhawk Chessex makes custom dice about $1 each, call them, before that make the template for 1,2,3 results. with a transport ship icon, etc. Their is a minimum # of dice that you need to buy, but you can resell those. They also sell the Axis and Allies dice sets, just ask, these are the premium ones with flags for 1 result

For the marking, I was thinking about using a rotary tool to carve a little dot.

Guys use RIT dye for color. Go to Siredblood’s custom dice you tube video. Shows how he used a jig to spot hole dice and then dye them

Does anyone have their own Custom Dice pictures to share, or any ideas for different dice?

Dice roll and tumble and land where they may, to think too much about is crazy… roll this one, roll that one… “if I only rolled it with this side up, would be different outcome”… it’s too much… granted if every roll was a six, be weird, but that don’t happen, least in my games… I say just “roll” with it… you win some, you lose some.

I prefer D2 systems after using D12 for many years. D2 offers alot of flexibility. For example Infantry defend at 2 and attack at 1, etc

Usually, you can just flip a coin to decide if your attacking or defending. However you do need a D12 for shore bombardment rolls only, since the BB hits on 1-3.

Yes.
It’s definitely faster.
And it removes irritating conversations like:
“3! Hit!”
“Wait! Didn’t you announce rolling for your destroyer?”
“Nope. I wanted the cruiser.”
“Hmm”

Siredblood has a you tube video of drilling colored dice

I got my inspiration from that one and added the extra holes for 2,3 and 4.

They have a turn, I believe, before the US player. The US player usually controls them, but they are still play as their own country. They have their own rules, which you will need to study.

You don’t necessarily have to have the Chinese dice, but is cool to own them, if you can get them.
