    Hello All

My name is Wolz 44, from Alberta, Canada. Just getting back into playing Axis and Allies. Loved the game back in my younger days lol. Now after coming across some of these site, I am really liking the customization ideas. So i went down the rabbit hole to see all what you can do with it lol. Went out and picked up a bunch of paints, ordered some new pieces and decals and other materials to give this all a go. Made my first flight stand using 2 different sizes of Acrylic rods. Also hoping to get some advice that i might have later on.

    Cheers
    Wolz

  • Hello everyone,

My name is Neven, born in 1985, and Iโ€™m from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Iโ€™m a big fan of strategy games. As a child, I had the chance to encounter Axis & Allies for the first time. Unfortunately, back then I didnโ€™t really understand the rules, but I still vividly remember the fantastic map and the miniatures, they left a strong impression on me and stayed in my memory all these years.

Now, in my 40s, I recently rediscovered the game and felt that same excitement again. Iโ€™m a complete beginner in terms of actual gameplay, but I understand the basic rules and Iโ€™m very eager to learn more.

I would love to join the community, improve my skills, and take part in online games. Iโ€™m here to learn, have fun, and enjoy the strategic depth of Axis & Allies with other players.

Looking forward to playing with you!

    Hi newenr

    Welcome to the site !

Most people play with triplea https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/topic/17147/gargantua-s-k-i-s-s-triplea-instructions/30

others play with 1942 online, although it is limited in the number of games you can choose from, it is still quite popular with a nice user interface.

    Have Fun Gaming !

    Edit
I believe some play with โ€œSteamโ€ as well but I am not familiar with that :)

    Thank you, Bernie.

TripleA looks fantastic. Iโ€™ll wait for the weekend when Iโ€™ll have more free time, and then Iโ€™ll try to find a brave volunteer on the forum for an experimental game and my very first one.

The maps Iโ€™m most familiar with are Axis & Allies Pacific and Axis & Allies Europe 1940. Iโ€™m hoping there will be some players willing to spend a few of their hours helping a beginner like me get started :)

    Looking forward to it!

    Hi Neven,

Welcome to the Best & Biggest Axis & Allies site in the World.

The game mechanisms and most units in the Global 1940 version are identical to the Axis & Allies Classic and Revised editions.

Once you have become more familiar with the Global 1940 edition, we suggest that you study the Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion.

When you have studied the Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion we would like to invite you to Denmark to join our Northern European Axis & Allies Wiking-Con events.

Your travel costs will be refunded by us - Danish Axis & Allies Association.

Feel free to contact us anytime.

    Captain

  • Hi everyone!
My name is Javier, Iโ€™m 18 years old and Iโ€™m from Spain. Iโ€™ve been a big fan of Axis & Allies for a while now, especially Axis & Allies Global 1940. Unfortunately, I donโ€™t have as much time to play as Iโ€™d like, and I also donโ€™t have a lot of money to buy games whenever I want, so I usually wait for my birthday or Christmas to get new ones.

One thing I really enjoy is thinking about and creating house rules for Global 1940โ€”all kinds of ideas, from small balance tweaks to bigger changes. Iโ€™m also very interested in getting into the Global War system, especially Global War 1936, but Iโ€™m still not entirely sure about the best way to buy it or where to start.

Iโ€™m looking forward to learning from the community, sharing ideas, and hopefully contributing some house rules in the future. Any advice or recommendations are more than welcome!

I also wanted to ask how I can properly post topics or questions to the community. Iโ€™d really like to start conversations, work together with other players, and get help resolving doubts or improving ideas, so any guidance on how to do that would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hello all,

I am 48 years old, married, have a 9 year old daugther and we live in Germany, Bavaria, Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm (near Munich). I have been a gamer from my childhood on and bought and played all the โ€œSpiel des Jahresโ€ every year and more and we made some games (we could not buy) on our own too.
As a teenager/early twen I started also playing computer games and was looking for something more exciting and challenging than this eurogames and the good old โ€œRiskโ€โ€ฆ would have something to play with more depth when it is about history, tacticts and strategyโ€ฆ and there it was - 1998 -

Axis&Allies from Hasbro Interactive for PC in the next computer shopโ€ฆ wellโ€ฆ not so challenging with the weak AI after some games anymoreโ€ฆ
โ€ฆ internet was to expensive to play multiplayer online these daysโ€ฆ but heyโ€ฆ read then somewhere this PC game was an adaption of a famous boardgameโ€ฆ Milton Bradleys Gamemaster Series Axis&Allies!! What a boardgame for me and my friends,
these days not very common in our environment and our regionโ€ฆ but finally we found and bought itโ€ฆ we played it day and night and after a while we started
to look for more boardgames for geeks and grognards. We have lots of games in the meanwhile!

With Internet becoming more popular and affordable I saw the DAAK, Deutscher Axis and Allies Klub, a great community and we organized a lot
of A&A tournaments and so on from year 2000 onโ€ฆ as well as buying everything we could get from A&A and playing it. (World at War, Accessories, Enhanced Rules,
Strafing Run Games Battle Cards and all the upcoming editions and varaints from AH, WotC, Hasbro, โ€ฆ).
Besides that I play also a lot of GMT and Compass Games boardgames, Larry Harris War Room of course tooโ€ฆ
and besides WW2 mostly Napoleonic era, so I do also looking really forward to Larrys Imperial Borders which should be in the mail the next days!

Via the โ€œA&A 1942 onlineโ€ community and discord channel I saw than that Renegade Game Studios is licensing A&A Franchise few years ago, got the newsletter and facebook group, voted for A&A North Africa Campaign and voilaโ€ฆ was trying to come into the playtesting group and was in the playtesting for North Africa and Stalingrad since then!!

Besides working as a product manager/technical trainer/instructional designer in machine techniques and playing a lot of boardgames
I do also taking care about my hometowns game library and weekly game days of the youth organization there as well as being part
of the team for running the yearly board game days here every November.

Was reading some articles and posts from time to time here, but never registeredโ€ฆ dont know whyโ€ฆ
โ€ฆ but as I do more online games, even of A&A Classic now, and want to join and post here, I decided to register finally now! :-)
It is a great pleasure to be in this community and to discuss and play with you ladies and gentlemenโ€ฆ looking forward learning more about you and about the game and having some fantastic hours togehter!!

    Kind Regards
    Primigenius / Rainer
