@Playing-Kid
Not much worse than a creased matt.
Mt first try would be to warm the fold with a hair dryer/heat gun, depending how much heat the vinyl can handle. May help you move the material back into the correct position.
Luck.
What's the best material to use when printing a custom map?

Anyone have a preferred website to order from? Material preference? I hear neoprene is pretty sharp…

From what I’ve been reading online, lots of people are having good luck with printing onto vinyl. It can be rolled up for easy storage, and unrolled on your playing surface when it’s time to start a war.

@the_good_captain I printed on vynil. It rolls, etc etc, but in the end I would recommend that you add that vynil to some kind of material to keep it in perfect condition. Mine has been rolled up for a while and then I had trouble keeping it flat.
I glued it to a 5mm layer of PVC and now it is perfect, though it doesn´t roll of course, but I keep it stored behind a shelf with games and it is always ready to go.

Vinyl ok. Played on that for years but been lately getting printed maps on styrene 3mm.
Brings the map out way sharper. You can still roll it up.

All my boards are on 5mm foamex boards.
Waterproof, fade proof, and really hard wearing
