Totally agree Cow. Most games are won by axis because of how fast they can expand, as well as how many air units they have that can do SO many differen’t moves. The allies air power must all be used for defense for a long time. Eventually I think the allies would win almost every game, if it were about total world conquest, but this game is based on the VC win. This means allies don’t stand much of a chance, in my oppinion. Honestly it reminds me of an 8 VC game in Revised.
Difference in start setup?

Are there any differences in the units setup in Global 1940 and Global 1940 Second edition?
If yes, where can I find the first edition setup? I only have the second edition of the game.
Thanks in advance

The setups of both versions are definitely different. A quick search shows this file on BoardGameGeek:
Play aids 1st and 2nd edition globalI do think you need to have a BGG account to download the zip file. After extracting the pdf inside this zip file look for A&AG 1940 Play Aid Charts.pdf as this contains the setups and references for each nation for both 1st edition (in white) and 2nd edition changes (in yellow)

does this thread re-hash the 1ed setup correctly? Thinks so. HTH
